The giga-BIC is a low cost solution that lets you reach cable distances of up to 100 meters with all base configuration Basler Camera Link cameras. The Basler giga-BIC converts camera output from the Camera Link format to Gigabit Ethernet format and uses standard CAT-5 LAN cabling for signal transmission.

The giga-BIC fits perfectly in a variety of applications including: traffic control (ITS), cargo inspection, medical X-ray imaging, factory automation, and many outdoor applications.

A high, 1 Gigabit/s data transfer speed means that image data and serial communication have insignificant signal latency. All Basler camera features such as exposure time control, AOI, gain, and offset remain accessible via the standard CCT+. With giga-BIC, you enjoy the full flexibility of your Basler cameras. Viewer software and an SDK ensure quick and easy installation.
