Unibrain S.A. was founded in 1986 in Athens and in 2000 it established Unibrain Inc. in San Ramon, California, USA to promote, sell and support its customers in the United States. At the same year, Unibrain entered into a strategic alliance with Intracom S.A., the largest Greek new technologies company with domestic and international activity. Intracom S.A. acquires a 30% share in Unibrain. Unibrain is a public company traded in the New Market (NEXA) of the Athens Stock Exchange as of April 30th, 2001.

Unibrain’s FireWire products enable consumer electronics vendors, integrators and software companies to dynamically enter the FireWire market: to design, manufacture, and sell products that end users can start using today.

Unibrain’s development activity spans the entire gamut of hardware, firmware and software development. Unibrain recently expanded to new developments in storage and multimedia technologies. Unibrain has been very fortunate in acquiring a team of technical developers whose capabilities make this possible.

Development work is done with the latest diagnostic and analysis devices, while the firmware and software personnel have access to the best development tools.

Careful analysis is done to determine what should be placed in hardware, firmware, and software. Before development can begin all technical personnel is involved in the development process. Even products, which at first sight, appear to be software only, hardware and firmware people are involved from the beginning in order to build the requisite test and analysis tools.

Since August '99, Unibrain S.A. has developed a quality certification system in accordance with The International Standards Organization standard ISO 9001:2000. This quality certification system has been certified as conforming to the new standard.

As a result, Unibrain has adopted business practices requiring enhanced quality control on design, production, and after-sale service which exceed standard ISO 9001:1994. Unibrain enters the twenty-first century with confidence and pride. We have every reason to expect the next decade to be as productive and innovative as the last.

As of June 1st, 2000, Unibrain Inc. is open for business, and its offices are ready to promote & sell products as well as support our customers in the United States. Unibrain Inc. expects to establish a significant market in the western hemisphere, and be part of the technological breakthroughs that occur in the heart of the IT community, Silicon Valley.
