TMC-9700 |
The PULNiX TMC-9700 is a high resolution 768
(H) x 484 (V) RGB colour full frame shutter camera with asynchronous reset capability with
continuous video output. The primary colour with 3G, R/B staggered progressive scan
interline transfer CCD provides the excellent resolution and colour fidelity with superb
electronic shutter capability. The TMC-9700 is designed to capture async shutter colour
image and output standard continuous video so that ordinary video equipment can display
the asynchronous images. These cameras are excellent in applications such as still
picture, on-line inspection, gauging, character reading, high definition graphics and
detailed surveillance. Added to the wide versatility of this camera is a 24-bit digital
signal output through buffered TTL (RS-422 interface box is optional). The signal is
interlace (RS-170) or progressive scanning (525 lines). It has built-in frame memory for
async or integration image capturing without using special frame grabbers.

Features
Asynchronous ResetThe TMC-9700's asynchronous reset is flexible and takes external HD for phase locking. When VINIT pulse is applied, it resets the camera's scanning and purging of the CCD. There are three modes to control the asynchronous reset and shutter speed:
The built-in frame memory can maintain the synchronously captured full frame image until the next VINIT pulse comes in. The output can be either interface or progressive scanning. Both analog RGB format (lVp-p, 75 ohm) and 24 bit digital format (TTL ) are available from the camera. Async capturing flag is available for the timing indication from pin#ll. Please consult PULNiX. IntegrationThe CCD imager of the TMC-9700 can be exposed longer than normal TV timing (1/30 sec.). This feature provides high sensitivity for dark environment applications. Integration is achieved by controlling the #11 pin of the 12-pin connector to Low (GND). Because of the progressive scanning CCD chip in the TMC-9700, a full frame of resolution is obtainable with either interlace or progressive scan format. The internal frame memory provides continuous video output without a frame grabber. Electronic ShutterThe TMC-9700 has a substrate drain type shutter mechanism
which provides a superb picture at various speeds without smearing. With VINIT high (5V), the CCD keeps discharging. With a
negative going pulse to VINIT, the camera resets and purges the charge momentarily, then
it starts integrating for the period of shutter control set by either an external double
pulse or internal shutter control. Because of the progressive scanning, a full 484 lines
of vertical resolution per single shutter is available unlike a normal CCD camera which is
only 244 lines per shutter.
